In Nov 2022, EndTrachoma Director, Rob McGuirk, attended the official launch  of the second Washer-Dryer Trailer that we donated to the Environmental Health Trachoma Project (EHTP).

Rob joined Dr Mel Stoneham and Scott MacKenzie who run the very successful  EHTP in Warburton in WA to launch the trailer with community.

This amazing trailer features 2 washer/dryers, a generator, BBQ facilities, maintenance supplies, bouncing castle and a movie theatre. The trailer will visit multiple communities around WA providing support where it is needed and wanted. They conduct healthy home audits as part of the service when the trailer visits communities by invitation.  An example of the need for the laundry facilities: 19 loads of washing for just 4 families, in 2 days; and 100 loads of washing for an Aged Care Facility to help stop the spread of Scabies.

Trailer investment: $48,000

If you or your club would be interested in helping us to supply another 1,000 homes with Hygiene items, please email sandi@endtrachoma2020.org.au and together we can continue to support the #endingtrachoma project and help them to make a difference in the communities.
