The Rotary Club of Mt Waverley, District 9815 in Victoria, made 41 Family-Size Toiletry Kits for the Families as First Teachers Centre in Ngurkurr in the NT.
Ngurkurr is located approximately 331 kilometers (about 206 miles) southeast of Katherine, along the Roper Highway.
Ngukurr, formerly Roper River Mission, is a remote Aboriginal community on the banks of the Roper River in southern Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. Several different clans and language groups are represented in the town, with Kriol being the main language spoken. The FaFT centre participates in an Indigenous Literacy Foundation and the community has the Ngukurr Language Centr which is working towards language maintenance and revitalisation as part of the UN declaring 2022–2032 the Decade of Indigenous Languages.
